Lost: The Buddy Cop Episode

Another episode of Lost aired last night (as if you didn’t know). This one had some interesting choices in story, ones that I’m going to do my best not to judge. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good episode in its own right, and some story development did happen. It’s just not going to be one of my favorite episodes that I’ll pay rapt attention to whenever I’m rewatching the series. In the end, Damon Lindelof posted the best summary of the episode on his Twitter feed earlier in the day: “Recon. Verb. Stepping away from technology and back into the realm of entertainment, tonight’s episode of Lost was huge, and still has my head spinning. If you haven’t seen the episode yet, you’ll want to stay away from this page until you do, because it’s going to be rather SPOILER-HEAVY. To deviate from my usual ramblings, I’m going to separate this review/interpretation of tonight’s and last week’s episodes into sections, just to make it neat and tidy. First I’ll start off with the major element of this week’s episode: The numbers.

What’s Black and White and Watched All Over? – Last Night’s Lost Premiere

So, I’ve been closely following my Twitter feed since last night, and overall I’ve seen a rampant use of the word “confused” to describe Lost’s two-hour premiere. Because of this, I thought I’d take a chance to explain some things. I’ll try to answer as many questions that I’ve come across as possible in this post, but if you have another question post it in the comments below and I’ll answer it to the best of my ability/knowledge!
